""Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." – Romans 12:2
My walk with the Lord Jesus has been deeply renewed through the Bible study Focus In: A Journey Mapped Out by Lord God Jesus by Erika Capellupo. This study has stirred my soul and reignited my desire to dive deeper into God’s Word and boldly share the love of Jesus with others.
I’ve known Erika for over 30 years—we met during our freshman year of high school. I grew up partially in a Baptist Children’s Home and was baptized at a young age, though I didn’t fully understand the meaning of that decision at the time. Over the years, I’ve grown in my faith, joined a church, and served in various ministries. However, I had never developed the habit of regularly reading the Bible.
Erika had invited me several times to join her Bible study, whether on my own or through Zoom when she began offering live sessions. For years, I hesitated. But when she began a new session this past year, God stirred my heart to finally say "yes."
I was initially nervous about joining a Zoom Bible study with women I didn’t know. But let me tell you—this experience has been nothing short of life-transforming. I not only gained a deeper understanding of God’s Word but also built genuine friendships with other women who uplifted, encouraged, and prayed for one another daily.
The study's structure—listening to Erika’s podcast, journaling what God placed on our hearts, and then coming together to discuss and reflect—was truly invaluable. Erika’s guidance through Scripture and the insights shared by other women made the experience rich and spiritually nourishing.
I wholeheartedly recommend listening to the Focus In podcast. Let the Word of God speak to you through Erika’s teaching and the verses she carefully selected to show us how God is moving in our lives. And if you ever have the opportunity to join a live Zoom Bible study with Erika—take it. It will bless your life and deepen your walk with Jesus.
I’m incredibly thankful for Erika’s friendship and her obedience in encouraging others to walk closely with the Lord."
